Cumming, GA

Central Forsyth County--We consider this to be east and west of Interstate 400 in Forsyth County north of exit 13 (Peachtree Pkwy/ Bethelview Road) and South of Exit 16 (Pilgrim Mill Road). This area includes Cumming addresses. This area has always been a very dense area of Forsyth County due to the vast part of Lake Lanier that occupies this region and the heavy commercial zoning that occupies this region. Central Forsyth also houses the county seat of Cumming including the "downtown" area and all the city and county Government buildings. The housing in Central Forsyth has always been valuable because it is "close to everything" the county has to offer and Forsyth County Property taxes are based on the lowest millage rates in Metro Atlanta (almost half that of Fulton County.) Also, Central Forsyth has many schools that do very well in test scores ranking.

The parks and recreation opportunities in Central Forsyth are abundant. Not only does Lake Lanier border the whole East side of Forsyth County, but Central Park and Sawnee Mountain Parks are located only minutes from Downtown Cumming. These parks offer sporting events, exercise opportunities, history lessons, recreational classes and much more! Sawnee Mountain Park and Amphitheater is the Forsyth’s Newest Park Facility. The City of Cumming is currently expanding their Dobb’s Creek Park Facility with an Indoor Pool Recreation Center. There are lots of exciting things coming to Cumming!
